Arc System Works revealed the full Year 1 DLC roster for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on October 11, 2026, the last day of EVO France: Phoenix Cyclops on November 2, then Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee across 2027. On the same weekend, Bandai Namco dated Tekken 8's next fighter, Roger Jr., for November 11 in early access and November 16 for everyone. This is a short roundup on a quiet weekend, and both stories came out of the fighting game tournament, which ran October 9 to 11.

Marvel Tōkon reveals its Year 1 DLC: Cyclops, Thor, Venom and Jubilee

The official Marvel Tōkon account posted the full Year 1 roster on October 11, with teaser art by artist Peach Momoko:

  • November 2, 2026: Phoenix Cyclops. Arc System Works' PlayStation Blog post from October 7 adds that his "Classic" and "Legacy" costumes come out the same day.
  • Winter 2027: Thor (Jane Foster).
  • Spring 2027: Venom. Eurogamer reports that a Klyntar stage comes with him.
  • Summer 2027: Jubilee.

What it means for you on PS5 and PC:

  • The pass: the Year 1 Characters and Stage Pass on Steam costs $34.99 and covers four characters, one stage and a set of result-screen poses. The poses unlock right away; the rest is expected by December 31, 2027, according to the store page.
  • Buying one fighter: Eurogamer says each character can also be bought on its own, but the October 11 post gives no single-character prices.

Our take: Only Cyclops has a date, and the other three are spread over most of 2027. If you just want one of them, wait for the single-character prices before you pay $34.99 for the pass.

Tekken 8's Roger Jr. arrives November 11 in early access, November 16 for everyone

Bandai Namco showed Roger Jr.'s gameplay trailer at EVO France on October 11, and the official TEKKEN account gave his dates: early access on November 11 (Pacific time, November 12 in Europe) and general access on November 16 (November 17 in Europe). He is the third of four Season 3 characters.

What it means for you on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC:

  • Early access: owners of the Season 3 Pass get him five days early. It costs $34.99 on Steam and also includes Kunimitsu, Bob and, from January to March 2027, Yujiro Hanma from the Baki franchise.
  • How he plays: the official TEKKEN site calls Roger Jr. a close-range fighter built around stances and strong throws, with simple controls that suit beginners. His mother does most of the punching, with him riding in her pouch.
  • Next up: EventHubs and Final Weapon report that the trailer ends on a first look at Yujiro Hanma and that more on him comes at the TEKKEN World Tour Finals on January 17, 2027.

Our take: Simple controls plus plenty of stance mix-ups make Roger Jr. a friendly pick for newer players. Five days of early access is the main reason to buy the pass now; without it, the wait only runs to November 16.
