Discord is opening up its biggest public servers to web search. Starting in mid-December, messages from public channels in Discoverable Servers can appear on the web, and for players in the US the setting is on unless you turn it off. Also in this roundup: Conan Exiles Enhanced and Aloft are coming to consoles in early 2027, ArcheAge Chronicles has an Early Access date, Where Winds Meet dates its anniversary update, and Emberville was delayed a day before launch.
Discord messages in public servers will show up in web search from mid-December
Discord announced on October 27 that conversations in Discoverable Servers will become searchable on the web. These are its most public spaces: a server needs at least 1,000 members and must be at least eight weeks old to qualify, and anyone can join one without an invite. Discord counts more than 63,000 of them, and its pitch is that the answer to your build or speedrun question is often already sitting in one.
What it means for you:
- Timeline: from November 16, every Discoverable Server gets a public Server Web Page, which can show automated summaries of public channels. Actual messages start appearing on those pages and in web search from mid-December 2026, rolling out over a few weeks.
- What's included: only messages from channels everyone in the server can see, without usernames or avatars. Messages sent before mid-December are never included. Private servers, DMs and group DMs are not affected, and teen accounts are left out entirely.
- Opting out: the member setting is in User Settings > Data and Privacy, and one switch covers every Discoverable Server you're in. It is off by default in the EU, UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia and South Korea, but on by default everywhere else, including the US. Messages you send while it's on stay up unless you delete them.
- Server admins: Server Settings > Web Presence lets you pick which channels take part or turn them all off. If you change nothing, public channels stay on.
Our take: Searchable answers could genuinely help players hunting for a fix, but in the US the default is on, so doing nothing counts as a yes. If you chat in big game servers, check the setting before mid-December.
Conan Exiles Enhanced comes to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027, and Aloft comes to PS5
Funcom announced on October 27 that Conan Exiles Enhanced, the overhauled version Steam owners got as a free update in May 2026, is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027. In the same day's PlayStation Blog post, Funcom also said Aloft, a co-op survival game where you turn floating islands into skyships, will reach PS5 in early 2027 when it leaves Early Access.
What it means for you:
- Free upgrade: anyone who owns Conan Exiles on PS4 or Xbox One gets Enhanced on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S at no cost. Buying either version later gets you both the Enhanced and the old (Legacy) version.
- Carry-over: Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops move to Enhanced. Single-player saves can go to Enhanced but not back, and Isle of Siptah bases can't be kept because that map is merged into the Exiled Lands.
- Legacy loses features: once Enhanced launches, Legacy loses the Bazaar and official servers, and Crom Coins stop working there. Cross-play with PC follows "soon after launch."
- Aloft: the PS5 version includes all five Early Access updates plus the 1.0 update. It is $24.99 in Early Access on Steam; Conan Exiles Enhanced is $39.99 on Steam. No console prices or dates yet.
Our take: Console Conan players who mean to stay on Legacy should spend their Crom Coins before Enhanced launches. Everyone else gets a free upgrade, which is the fair way to handle a remaster of a game people already paid for.
ArcheAge Chronicles opens Early Access on Steam November 3 for $29.99
XLGAMES announced on October 27 that its action MMORPG ArcheAge Chronicles launches in Steam Early Access on November 3, 2026 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET, and pre-orders are open now.
What it means for you:
- Price: $29.99 on the Steam store page, which warns that the price may change at full release.
- Pre-order bonus: the Dawn Pioneer Set costume, for one class of your choice, claimable in game from November 3.
- What's in it: three regions of the world of Auroria (Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains), four classes with two weapons each, plus dungeons, raids, PvP, housing, crafting and trading.
- How long: XLGAMES expects Early Access to last about 9 to 12 months.
Our take: $29.99 is a modest price for an MMO, but Early Access MMOs live or die on their population and server stability in the first weeks. If you're unsure, waiting for launch-week impressions costs you nothing except the costume.
Where Winds Meet's anniversary update and Hutuo region arrive November 13
NetEase said on the PlayStation Blog on October 27 that Hutuo, a war-torn frontier region with a story built around the battle of Zhongdu Bridge, launches on November 13 with the game's first anniversary update. The open-world wuxia game is free to play, and launched on Steam on November 14, 2025.
What's coming:
- November 13: the Hutuo region and the anniversary update, with anniversary rewards and two new board game modes, Horse Racing Chess and Jianghu Tactics.
- Late November: the Dual Spears martial art, with combat choreographed by Yuen Woo-ping, who worked on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
- November 2: a First Anniversary Special Broadcast with more Hutuo gameplay.
- On PS5 Pro: upgraded PSSR and ray-traced reflections, aiming for a stable 60 fps.
The post doesn't say what, if anything, the new content costs or list every platform it comes to.
Our take: A new region, two side modes and a new weapon style in one month is a lot for a free game. The November 2 broadcast is the place to find out how much of the anniversary content needs a purchase.
Emberville's Early Access is delayed to January 7, 2027, one day before launch
Developer Cygnus Cross posted on October 26, a day before Emberville was due in Early Access, that the action RPG, in which you also rebuild a ruined town, is moving to January 7, 2027. The team said feedback on its Steam Next Fest demo pointed to changes it couldn't make in time, giving a rework of bow combat as an example, and that it would rather launch with those fixes than release now.
What it means for you:
- New date: January 7, 2027, in Early Access on PC.
- Price: the Steam store page now shows "Coming soon" and no price.
- After launch: Cygnus Cross promises regular large and small updates during Early Access.
Our take: A delay this late stings for anyone who cleared their calendar, but fixing combat before people pay beats patching it after bad reviews. No price has been set, so a wishlist is all you need until January.
