Bandai Namco is marking 10 years of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 with a free update on October 27 and the Final Festival of Universes, an in-game event that starts October 30 and earns rewards you can carry into Xenoverse 3 in 2027. Also in this roundup: Tomb Raider turned 30 on October 24, and Crystal Dynamics says more than 500 official soundtrack tracks are expected on streaming services in November.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's Final Festival starts October 30, with Xenoverse 3 rewards

Bandai Namco announced the 10th anniversary plans on October 25. A free update on October 27 adds new login bonus rewards, special costumes and an update to the Gallery of Time. The Final Festival of Universes follows on October 30: you raise your camaraderie with Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time or Fu to unlock special illustrations, hard-to-find items return, and you earn 25 times the usual Star Coins.

What it means for you:

  • Platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Switch. The game normally costs $19.99 on Steam.
  • Times: Bandai Namco hasn't given start times for the update or the festival, or said when the festival ends.
  • Gallery of Time: the new part needs the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC, normally $11.99 on Steam.
  • Xenoverse 3 rewards: Bandai Namco's Link Data guide says the festival's gold and rainbow uniforms unlock matching outfits in Xenoverse 3, and festival medals unlock up to 21 acrylic figures. Link your save to a free Bandai Namco ID with the "Upload Link Data" button on the main menu. There is no deadline, but you need a copy of Xenoverse 3 to claim anything.

Our take: If you still play, the 25x Star Coin rate makes October 30 the time to clear out the shop. Uploading your Link Data costs nothing and has no deadline, so do it once the festival items are in your save.

Tomb Raider turns 30, with 500 soundtrack tracks headed to streaming

Crystal Dynamics marked the series' 30th birthday on October 24. The studio says more than 500 official Tomb Raider soundtrack tracks are expected on streaming services in November, including albums that have never been released before. It also put out a lo-fi album of remixed series music on YouTube, with other streaming services to follow, and free anniversary wallpapers. On October 25 the official channel posted a 67-second teaser for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, first shown at the TR30 event in Derby and at MCM London.

What it means for you:

  • Legacy of Atlantis: February 12, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC. It is a reimagining of Lara's 1996 debut, built in Unreal Engine 5 by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog.
  • Price: $59.99, or $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition, on Steam and Nintendo's store. Crystal Dynamics' pre-order post lists 48-hour early access as a Deluxe Edition pre-order bonus.
  • Soundtracks: Crystal Dynamics hasn't named a day in November or the services.

Our take: The soundtracks are the gift with the most lasting value, since Crystal Dynamics says some of that music has never been released or streamed before. The teaser is just a 67-second clip, so it is no reason on its own to pre-order a game that is still months away.
