Riot Games revealed Hush, VALORANT's next agent, in a trailer posted at 11 p.m. PT on October 17 / 2 a.m. ET on October 18, 2026. She is a Duelist from Guangdong, China, and arrives during the current act, Season 26 Act VI. Also in this roundup: Analogue brings back its SNES and Genesis consoles as the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+, The Wolf Among Us Remastered is delayed on Switch only, and Pokémon Pokopia starts a Halloween event.

VALORANT reveals Hush, a Duelist from Guangdong, China

Riot posted RISE AND FALL // Hush Agent Trailer on the official VALORANT YouTube channel, and the VALORANT news page lists it under Game Updates. The video description calls Hush a "reality-bending Duelist" joining the game's Protocol from Guangdong, China. Riot hasn't published her abilities yet.

What it means for you:

  • When: Riot says only that Hush is available in Season 26 Act VI. That act began with patch 13.08 on October 13. Riot hasn't announced an exact release date yet.
  • Abilities and unlock cost: not announced yet.

Our take: A new Duelist always reshapes the meta, but until Riot posts her kit, all anyone can judge is the trailer. Wait for the ability breakdown before you decide whether she's worth unlocking.

Analogue brings back its SNES and Genesis consoles as Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+

Analogue announced the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ on October 16. They are updated versions of its Super Nt (2017) and Mega Sg (2018), FPGA consoles that play original cartridges in 1080p over HDMI without software emulation. The Super Nt+ plays Super Nintendo and Super Famicom cartridges. The Mega Sg+ plays Genesis and Mega Drive cartridges, comes with a Master System adapter, and still connects to an original Sega CD.

What it means for you:

  • Price: $219.99 each, according to Analogue's store pages.
  • Pre-orders: open October 19 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET on Analogue's site. Both ship in December 2026.
  • What's new: built-in Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless for controllers, a pairing button, USB-C power, a USB-A port, a redesigned case and a new operating system.
  • Not in the box: a controller. 8BitDo's SN30 (for Super Nt+) and M30 (for Mega Sg+) wireless pads are sold separately for $29.99 each. Neither console comes with built-in games, unlike the originals.
  • Variants: Super Nt+ comes in Classic, SF and Black. Mega Sg+ comes in USA, EU and JP styles.

Our take: If you still own a shelf of cartridges, built-in wireless and USB-C power are welcome fixes for everyday play. At $219.99, though, it's an upgrade for collectors, not a cheap way into retro games.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered is delayed on Switch, but other versions stay on October 29

Telltale posted on X on October 16 that the Nintendo Switch version of The Wolf Among Us Remastered "needs a little more time" and will launch later. The other versions are still on for October 29 on PS5, Xbox and PC.

What it means for you:

  • PS5, Xbox and PC: no change, October 29.
  • Nintendo Switch: no new date yet. Telltale says it will share the timing soon.

Our take: A Switch-only slip less than two weeks before launch usually means the port needs more work, and waiting is better than a rough release. If you have a choice of platform and don't want to wait, the other versions are holding their date.

Pokémon Pokopia's Halloween event runs until November 1

Nintendo announced Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises!, a limited-time event in Pokémon Pokopia on Nintendo Switch 2. It runs from October 17 at 5 a.m. to November 1 at 4:59 a.m., local time. You camouflage yourself as furniture and items that Pokémon like, surprise them to earn pumpkin candy, then trade the candy at the Pokémon Center for themed furniture and decorations.

What it means for you:

  • Rewards: you can befriend Pumpkaboo during the event, and build a habitat from the event items so Gourgeist can arrive and be befriended too. Pokémon you befriend stay in your town after the event ends.
  • Requirements: version 2.0.1 of the game, an internet connection the first time you play the event, and some story progress: a town's important request done, the Pokémon Center rebuilt, and the move Camouflage learned from Zorua in Bleak Beach. If you only meet those requirements after the event has begun, move to another town once or choose Save & Quit first.
  • Where: not on Cloud Islands or in Bubbly Basin. For multiplayer, use Palette Town.

Our take: Two weeks is a comfortable window, but the story requirements will lock out brand-new players who haven't reached Bleak Beach yet. If that's you, start pushing through the story now.
